WHY AM I NOT LOSING FAT?

FAT LOSS MISTAKE #1:

Sticking a budonkadonk butt on a treadmill.

Why do some of the hardest working people in the gym see the least amount of results?  They focus their effort in ways that defy the laws of fat loss.  Treadmill and elliptical fanatics are some of the worst cases.  These people work very hard and lose muscle IF they lose weight at all, which decreases their metabolic function over time...causing long-term weight gain.  Yikes!

You've seen (and probably heard) this at the gym before...a guy using his legs, back, shoulders, abs, and lifting partner to hoist up a massive dumbbell while trying to perform a bicep curl.  He grunts, grimaces, and yells while pumping his iron.  While his ego gets huge, the only muscles not getting much work are the biceps!

I work with my clients to tighten technique so each exercise is performed with maximum efficiency.  While there is room for overloading muscles from time to time, I teach my clients how to guarantee a great workout that targets the muscles we are aiming to engage.  When you engage and develop muscle (especially in your trouble areas), you prime your body to burn more fat!
